Are you worried about dry, brittle hair that puffs up in humidity? Or your hair frizzes out when you brush it? If so, then try this anti-frizz treatment. I am sure this will become your favorite treatment for dry, brittle hair.
Honey Yogurt Mask for Hair
Generally, the hair treatment-recipes are based on oil – but there is a big downside to these remedies. If you happen to use too much, your hair gets bogged down with the weight of oil and you end up looking like a grease doll for days.
Use this mask to solve your dry, frizzy hair problem. It is made using just 3 natural ingredients that will leave your hair looking as if treated at a professional hair spa!
Yogurt Honey Hair Deep Conditioner Ingredients
Yogurt/Curd: It is a multi-vitamin rich food which contains high levels of lactic acid that is quite beneficial to treat dull and damaged hair. Yogurt has anti-fungal properties that help fight dandruff. It also has moisturizing properties, which make it a great natural conditioner to soften hair and tame hair frizz.
Yogurt for Hair Growth: It’s packed with protein, and nourishes your hair to grow strong and healthy. Yogurt contains lactic acids, which cleanses the scalp and clears out dead skin cells to make your hair follicles grow!
Honey: Honey works as an emollient, which means it’s a natural hair softener and great hair conditioner. As honey is an emollient, it also improves the health of the hair follicles which are responsible for hair growth. It is also a natural antioxidant, so it tends to make your scalp healthy and stimulate hair growth. Honey acts as humectant, meaning it attracts and retains moisture in the hair. Honey also has antibacterial and antiseptic properties, which prevent your scalp from infections or psoriasis and tend to keep your scalp clean and bacteria-free. Honey can lighten your hair over time, but if you use this treatment only once a week, you probably won’t see any changes.
Coconut Oil: Just few drops of coconut oil. Coconut oil is rich in antioxidants, and has antiviral, antifungal, and antibacterial properties. When used on hair, it improves scalp health, fights infections and fungus, supports hair growth, all while adding volume and shine without the common harmful chemicals. It distinctly penetrates the hair shaft, and is moisturizing from within. It’s unique in that it can help the hair shaft to lay flat so that your hair looks smooth and shiny – but definitely not greasy. It’s very rich oil, so one or two drops can do in some cases.
How to Make Deep Conditioning Hair Mask for Dry, Frizzy Hair
You will need:
(i) Yogurt/Curd: 2 tablespoons, plain, unflavored, unsweetened
(ii) Honey: 1 tablespoon, organic
(iii) Coconut Oil: 1/4 teaspoon (for thin hair), 1/2 teaspoon (for thicker hair) – depending upon how your hair soaks in the oil – you may need just 1 drop!
Method:
(i) If the coconut oil is hard, you need to melt it down. Mix well all the ingredients together.
(ii) Gently massage the mixture onto your hair, from the scalp to the hair ends – so that your scalp and hair are covered with the mask. Let the mask sit for at least 15 minutes.
(iii) Shampoo your hair as usual, and if you use conditioner – just a tiny amount on the hair ends will do.
