Bananas are packed with potassium, vitamins A, B6, C, as well as zinc and iron, which make them an ideal choice for homemade hair growth and strengthening treatments. Potassium strengthens hair, minimizes breakage by revamping your hair’s natural elasticity, and helps repair damaged hair. Bananas also moisturize your hair as they contain natural oils and about 75% water. Strong, moisturized hair also is less likely to frizzing and tangling.
Basic Banana Hair Mask: This mask is easiest of all the banana masks.
You will need:
Only 1 or 2 fully ripe and soft banana(s).
Method: Blend the banana(s) thoroughly into a chunks-free smooth paste (use a food processor if you like to make sure there aren’t any lumps), massage it gently onto your entire hair and scalp, and cover with a shower cap or wrap your head with a damp, hot towel. Covering your hair with a hot towel will maximize the results and helps in locking the moisture nutrients in your hair. Leave the mask on for at least 20 minutes and then shampoo your hair as usual and rinse well.
Natural Beauty Tip: Blending the ripe banana into a lumps free paste is necessary to make sure that you are able to remove all the residues of the banana easily.
