Wash and Done
It’s more of a 2-step action. To quote Montclair, New Jersey, dermatologist Dr. Jeanine Downie: “Remove your makeup prior to you wash your face. Many cleansers can’t take off concealer or foundation thoroughly, particularly around the eyes and nose. Apply an oil-based cream, an emollient wipe, or a cleansing oil to dissolve stubborn sunscreen and makeup.”
Follow with lukewarm water and a pea-size amount of cleanser (opt for the ingredients cocamidopropyl betaine or caprylic triglyceride, which are sulfate-free surfactants) on your fingers or a clean, damp washcloth and cleanse your face.
Whereas the jury is still out on how often to cleanse face (every morning and every night or just once at night), but all dermatologist coincides that over-cleansing can result into irritation and deficiency of moisture. The percept is to use common sense: Always clean your face after a workout to avoid breakouts, and cleanse excessively oily skin morning and night. For real dry or sensitive skin, do wash once daily in the morning or night.
Close Your Skin Pores
Sorry, friends, but you can skip procedures such as massaging your face to increase circulation or splashing your face with cold water to “close” your facial pores. According to Downie: “Pores don’t open and close. On the other hand, excessive hot or cold can aggravate problems such as rosacea and redness.

Use Cleanser According to Skin Type

How to Get Rid Of Bad Breath Naturally
Everyone has bad breath (also known as halitosis) at some points of time, such as in the morning when you wake up. But persistent bad breath is something which you should not accept as a norm. In this article you will find tips on how to get rid of bad breath.
What Causes Bad Breath: We will tell you later about how to cure bad breath. First you should know what are the causes of bad breath.
In most cases bad breath is caused by poor dental hygiene. Morsels of food which get caught between the teeth or stuck onto your tongue decay with time and produce foul smell.
Then consuming the strong stinky foods like garlic, raw onion, coffee and some medicines, etc. is another major short term bad breath cause.
The build-up of debris and bits of rotting foods on the surface of tonsils (called as tonsil stones) is also one of the causes of bad breath.
However, Bacteria are 90% of bad breath causes. Bacteria break down food in your mouth and, in the process produce odorous compounds. Morning is the time when you have foulest smell, since your mouth has been dry the whole night, allowing bacteria enough time to work their stinking magic.
Medical conditions, such as dry mouth, diabetes, gastritis, infections in the throat, nose or lungs, liver and kidney are other causes of bad breath.
How To Get Rid Of Bad Breath:
(i) Brush your teeth: Brush your teeth twice a day. Choose a fluoride tooth paste. Regular brushing in the correct way is crucial to prevent bad breath. There are hundreds of nooks and crevices in your mouth which can be a play-ground for these rotting morsels to get lodged and work on producing stinking smell.
(ii) Clean your tongue: Brushing alone is not enough. Sixty percent of the bad breath is due to plaque and bacteria that gather on your tongue, especially on the back. Your tongue is the prime breeding ground for these two harmful rotting materials. One of the best ways to cure bad breath is to clear away this offending plaque and bacteria with a tongue scraper twice a day. Alternatively, you can also use your brush or the edge of a spoon for this purpose.
(iii) Swish the water: Make it a habit to take a sip of water after you have any food and swish the water around your mouth between the teeth to clear the debris.
(iv) Floss your teeth: Flossing removes food particles trapped between your teeth. These food particles would otherwise remain lodged between your teeth and decay with time producing smells emitting form your mouth.
(v) Use mouthwash: Many of the mouthwashes are alcohol-based. Avoid these, as alcohol-based mouthwashes dry out and irritate your mouth. Preferably use that contains zinc chloride, chloehexidine or hydrogen peroxide.
Some more bad breath remedies:
(i) When you brush, make it a habit to brush your tongue also to clear the decaying food morsels sticking to the surface of your tongue.
(ii) Cider vinegar also helps in preventing bad breath. Take a little of cider vinegar mix with water before brushing and swish between teeth and from one side to the other side of mouth.
(iii) You can also try rinsing your mouth with a little of lemon juice mix with water during the day.
(iv) Make it your habit to floss your teeth in the morning and rinse your mouth with alcohol free mouthwash twice a day. However, remember mouthwash is a temporary fix only.
(v) Eat cinnamon to reduce bacteria counts in your mouth.
(vi) Drink green tea, as it contains catechinto a powerful antioxidant which can get your mouth rid of bacteria. Bacteria cause stinky smells.
(vii) Cardamom is a natural breath freshener and has antibacterial properties. Cardamom is a rich source of a compound called cineole, a powerful antiseptic that kills bacteria and lessens bad breath.
(viii) Drink water to keep your mouth moisturized as it helps in reducing growth of bacteria which otherwise would cause bad breath.
Bad breath can sometimes be an underlying symptom of some other health problems, such as liver problems, reflux, diabetes and sinus infections. If you notice after following above tips about how to get rid of bad breath that it still persists, it may be due to certain medical problems about which you need to consult your doctor and get proper treatment.
Stop Oily Skin On Face
Many people have oily or greasy skin problems, particularly on their faces. Never neglect oily skin conditions as it can lead to other skin problems like acne and spots. Oily skin arises when the sebaceous glands emit more oil than normal, resulting into presence of more oil on the skin surface. Hereditary is one of the main causes for too much oil production. The other possible causes for oily skin are hormonal shifts, stress, pollution, high humidity, travel, certain cosmetic products, birth control pills, poor diet, and improper skin care.
Proper Cleansing: Always use an oil-free cleansing product two times in a day. Take a little amount of the facial cleanser in your hands, lather it up, and gently massage it onto your face – using your finger-tips. Then rinse out with lukewarm water. In case you are having fresh acne breakouts, buy a cleanser with benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid, which is an effective remedy to dry them up.
Use Toner or An Astringent: Gently apply a toner or an astringent onto your skin after washing, and then pat it dry with a clean towel. In case you are suffering from acne, consider using a prescription astringent having ingredients to help clear up acne breakouts. For those who believe in using natural ways, we recommend freshly squeezed lemon juice or witch hazel that are not only very effective but are inexpensive too. An effective way is to use pre-moistened pads or to apply liquid astringent or toner using soft cotton balls.
Moisturize Consistently: Use an oil-controlling moisturizer or gel. For those who apply makeup this also serves as make-up base before they put on foundation.
Exfoliate Once or Twice a Week:
Exfoliating your skin helps to remove dead skin cells and dirt that otherwise can clog your skin pores. There are various options, such as natural exfoliates containing fruit kernels, micro-beads, or ground up nut shells. Mixing water with baking soda is also an option or you can try exfoliating with a clean washcloth. For people who don’t like to exfoliate physically, they can go for an enzyme containing facial mask or glycolic acid pads to get rid of dead skin cells.
Use Facial Masks: Do facial using clay mask once or twice a week. Allow the mask to remain on your skin until it dries out, and then rinse it out with lukewarm water. Pat dry your face gently, using a clean, soft facial towel.
Apple Cider Vinegar:For best results, we recommend unfiltered and raw kind that has beneficial enzymes and nutrients which are missing in pasteurized and filtered one. Considering the fact that it is somewhat strong to use directly on the skin, make sure to mix 1 part of apple cider vinegar with 1-2 parts of water before applying it onto your skin. Apply it once a day after washing your face, but before moisturizing, using a clean cotton ball.
Don’t Wash Your Face Too Much: Wash your face not more than twice a day – in the morning and before you sleep at night. Washing your face too frequently provokes your sebaceous glands to secrete even more oil. The sebum (naturally released oil from your skin) purpose is to lubricate and shields your skin. When you wash your face too often, your glands react by releasing more oil to shield it.
Use Lukewarm Water: Cold or hot water dries out your skin that can prompt your glands to release more oil. While washing your face, use lukewarm water as it relaxes your face and treats it gently.
Facial Care Products: Choose cleansers that are especially formulated for oily and/or acne prone skin. You can also use natural cleansers.
Oil Free Moisturizers and Sun-Screen: Use moisturizer to help protect your face from vagaries of excess oil and the Sun’s ultraviolet rays. But, make sure to use oil-free products or the problem may be aggravated. Consider using witch hazel as a natural toner for your oily face and skin. You can apply it with a cotton ball and allow it to dry out.
To treat pimples (oily skin is acne prone), apply lavender or tea tree oil exactly on the pimples to exterminate bacteria and help heal the skin. However, if you have sensitive skin, make sure to dilute the oil with some Aloe Vera gel.
